Teaching to be a Warrior

JMA empowers through Martial Arts

We were thrilled with the way all of the Martial Arts Warriors stepped up on Saturday. The day was challenging, but the principle that each student left with is that if you can endure Warrior Day, it makes other of life’s obstacles manageable. Please feel free to leverage this the next time your child struggles. Whether Karate, their math homework, or other challenges, your child is stronger than they think they are.

We began by establishing the goals for the 4-hour challenge. We distinguished between the Worrier and the Warrior.

A warrior can find peace in any situation, while a worrier only finds peace when things are going their way. And we picked up our proverbial shields and swords and fought so very hard.

We reinforced the below regarding our goals for each student:

The JMA student is…

1.) Physically Fit

2.) A Team Player

3.) Servant Leader

4.) Stands up for himself/herself

5.) Becomes Adult Leader

We began with Warrior Tug of War and assigned team leaders. Then, we were led by Ashton Johnson with an excellent Nunchaku training. We had warrior sparring, breaking and finished with fellowship and pizza!

Seeing kids (good) crying because they had to leave and giving hugs when they left convinced us that the event was a success.

In closing, we want to be able to share these benefits to as many people as possible over the next year. We have a video that shares some information about the program below.

I hope that you are blessed this holiday season, and we look forward to assisting to empower your journey into 2025.

Respect,

Mr. J
