Snowboarder with Prosthetic Legs is an inspiration for children.
Amy Purdy is a Motivational Speaker, Philanthropist, and a Para-Olympic Snowboarder with Gold and Bronze Medals. She does all of this while missing her legs beneath the knees.
Her inspirational story teaches us to be empowered instead of being a victim to our circumstances. When she was 21, her dad donated her kidney so that she could live. There wasn't a prosthesis that would allow someone to snowboard. So, she built her own. 7 months later, she returned to the slopes for the first time. Kids and everyone can all learn from her example.
